One product, three layouts
The interface reflows at two points rather than pretending every screen is the same shape:
- On a phone, the list fills the screen and a contact opens as its own view, with a back button where you expect it.
- On a tablet, list and detail sit side by side, so choosing a contact never hides the list.
- On a desktop, a filter rail joins them, putting favourites and every tag one click away.
A note worth being straight about: contacts are stored on the device you are using. Your laptop and your phone each keep their own address book today. Syncing between devices is what we are building next.
